A straightforward wave-based space shooter with momentum, inertia, and multi-directional movement.


This was a solo project, done on my own time to learn more about GameMaker Studio 2. The goal was to make a game that played a lot like Asteroids, but was more focused on ship-to-ship combat, with an overall feel similar to the space battles from the TV series The Expanse, and a visual style similar to the aerial battles in the game Xenonauts. This included giving the ship a pair of point defense cannons that could shoot down incoming guided torpedoes, adding another layer to the player’s tactical decision making.
